Oncocept is a cancer research enterprise. Our primary technology provides a novel and very effective means to unequivocally identify genes with tumor suppressor function. Tumor suppressor genes and other genes with tumor suppressor function have been inherently difficult to identify. Tumor suppressing genes provide the most important mechanisms for natural self regulation of all stages of cancer development. Thus such genes potentially provide very useful information on natural controls of oncogenic mechanisms and hence on potential preventive and therapeutic modalities.
We welcome inquiries from researchers and research entities willing to sign stringent non-disclosure and non-compete agreements. We currently project that this technology will be available for general license within 3 to 5 years. Collaborative efforts could commence any time suitable partners are identified.
